KIDS SCUBA CAMP, PULAU LANG TENGAH, 14 - 17 August 2009 Excerpts from the Anouncement:
Pulau Lang Tengah or Lang Tengah Island off the coast of Terengganu state, Malaysia is known for its crystal clear blue waters and pristine beaches. The Lang Tengah Island is a small island only known to a few about its beauty. The 'Redang Lang Island Resort' situated in Lang Tengah Island, isn't over crowded and its coral reef is still pure, untouched beauty as it is situated in shallow waters perfect for the Scuba Rangers to dive and warmed by tropical sunshine. We have recently completed a lovely dive trip with the Scuba Rangers from August 14 - 17, 2009. During the dives with cute Rangers, they did a lovely underwater painting of the marine life while scuba diving under the watchful eyes of Scuba Rangers Instructors from Kids Scuba and together with an artist who specialize in kids art known as Cikgu Zila. (Cikgu - in the Malay language meaning Teacher) The kids had fun with 4 dives in total within 2 days, enjoying the beautiful house reefs of Lang Tengah island. The house reefs of the 'Redang Lang Resort' boasts 7 different species of colourful Clown fishes like False Clown Anemone fish, Tomato Clown fish, Pink Skunk Clown fish, Clown Anemone fish, Yellowtail Clown fish, Saddleback Clown fish & the Three Band Anemone fish. The Scuba Rangers were very lucky & happy to be able to see 5 species of the lovely and cute clown fish. During the trip, two of the Scuba Rangers - Jamnine & her elder sister Irdina did their "Demo Rangers" graduation. After the shallow dives at the house reefs with the underwater skills, they were finally graduated officially as a Scuba Rangers by Uncle Syed as their Scuba Rangers Instructor. As the month of August is the Independence month for Malaysia, the scuba rangers did an underwater drawing of the beloved Malaysian Flag during one of the dives. With Cikgu Zila coordinating the Artwork for the kids, together with a Scuba Rangers Instructor to oversee the dives with the kids.
